I’m from NJ but currently living in KC. The addition of a NJ race convinced my wife to try her hand at triathlon racing this year. So this summer has really been about getting her up to speed so she can find success on race day.

I’m new to EN… Really just looking to optimize my training and to get a little faster. I’ve been racing triathlon for 3 years now. I’ve completed 3 HIM (Branson, Kansas 2x) and IM Arizona last November.

Race day… I want to have fun! But like every other… over planning … Middle aged… Type A… Competitor… I want to PR too! Looking to beat my Kansas time from June… 5:26… See you at the race…

Pete Joachim (M 45-49)

Hi All – EN Member from 2010. From Philly – now live in north Jersey (Morristown area) about 45 minutes north of Princeton. This is my 8th year in triathlon. This is an A Race and my only long race of 2014 as I got a late start to the year trying to get my body in better all-round condition, especially a bad left hip. My run is just now coming back into form.

So I’m just hoping for a solid all-round race with stellar execution and to come out w/no lingering injury. I’ll be wearing my local tri-club kit on race day (black & yellow) as I’ve been more involved with them over the last year and half, (thus less visits to the EN forums, my bad) but will don the EN Hat during the run!

I am from south Jersey and have run this park on many occasions through the years.

This is my last race of the season having done a 70.3 and two IMs (most recent IMMT). I have been dealing with hamstring issues for over a year and don’t have my top end gears but I would still like to go sub 5.

I am looking forward to another EN team event and hopefully some team hardware.
