2025 Endurance Nation Full and Half IM Training Plans: The 18th Evolution of Fast

150 150 Patrick McCrann
As we roll into spring, Endurance Nation is proud to introduce the 18th edition of our Half and Full Ironman training plans. These aren’t just workouts strung together—these are battle-tested, athlete-approved, and performance-optimized blueprints for success.
Every year, we refine our plans based on real-world racing, coach expertise, and community feedback to keep you at the cutting edge of endurance training. 2025 is no different—except it’s better.

What’s New in 2025?

:one: Mid-Week Workouts: Simpler Read, Harder Execution
Gone are the days of staring at your training plan like it’s a calculus problem. We’ve streamlined mid-week interval workouts to be easier to follow—which probably means they’ll be harder to complete. Expect a barbell approach: power during the week, endurance on the weekends.
New for 2025: We’re dialing in your weekday intensity with Primed FTP and Sweet Spot work—designed to maximize your ability to sustain power while balancing fatigue. This is next-level FTP development, built to make you stronger and faster over the long haul.
:two: Race-Specific Plans for Maximum Gains
  • Bike-Focused, Run-Focused, or Balanced? Choose your weapon.
  • 12-Week Race Specificity Plans to lock in your fitness.
  • A new progressive run interval structure to target peak race-day performance.
  • And as always, you have options! You’re not locked into just one approach. Whether you’re building across a single season or progressing year-over-year, you can adapt the plan to fit your long-term goals.
:three: The Return of the Beloved Sweat Test
Back by popular demand, the Sweat Test is here to define your nutrition strategy. This isn’t a one-and-done session—it’s a yearly must-do for every serious athlete. Dialing in your sweat rate and fueling plan ensures you’re never guessing on race day.
:four: Double Race Rehearsals Stay
Why settle for one dress rehearsal when you can have two? The 2025 plans continue to emphasize double race rehearsals, giving you twice the chance to fine-tune pacing, nutrition, and mental strategy before the big day.
:five: The Challenge Ride: More Than Just a Workout
We’re leveling up your early race prep volume with this strategic ride. Whether you’re making up for missed training or laying the foundation for a breakthrough race, the Challenge Ride helps you dial in aerobic stress early in your plan. It’s also an incredible mental test, giving you the confidence to handle those big race-day miles.
:six: More Flexibility for Real Life
Life happens, and our 2025 plans reflect that. We’ve built in more flexibility so you can adjust key workouts based on your schedule, energy levels, and training progression. Because the best plan is the one that actually fits your life.
:seven: Masters Athletes: More Control, More Recovery
For our Masters athletes, we’re reducing mid-week load to prioritize recovery while still hitting key intensity sessions. Plus, we’ve added even more flexibility—now you can take it easy on Mondays and Fridays to ensure you’re fresh and ready to tackle the work that matters.
