Races on 10/9
Rev3 South Carolina
Chris Hardbeck raced to a 5:31 finish in the half Ironman. Members can read his full race report here. Of the race he said “The hilly course, on a windy day, proved to be very challenging. Had I not gathered so many tools from EN, both knowledge and fitness, I know that I would’ve boogered the bike and blown up on the run. As it is, I turned in a solid effort and finished with a steady run pace that, although not a pr, was one of my faster runs on a very tough course. That’s progress. Looking forward to Year #2 with EN in 2012! Thanks R & P and everyone else in the EN Haus!”
Races on 10/16
Detroit Free Press Marathon
Pat Ward ran the race for fun; pacing her son in the first half and a friend in the second half for a finish time of 4:13:10.
