Races on 10/29
Sri Chinmoy Triathlon
Scott Connolly finished this sprint tri in 1:09:03 and said “Standard swim in pretty dirty water (500m), 21km cycle in the wind and 5km run – didn’t run well, a 20.40, I was hoping to run closer to 19.00. Finished 10th in the individuals out of 110 odd competitors. “
Gumbo Flats Pumpkin Run
Dave Barr raced to a 10k PR with a time of 44:36.
Beach to Battleship
Stephen Chappell raced to a new PR in this half-ironman with a time of 5:54 and said “8th place in my category out of 40: 2nd best run time in Category, that surprise me. As I did not see any other in my group running on the course. I assumed everyone was ahead of me. I left some power on the course, I guess I did not want to blow up on the run. So I stayed conservative on the bike. So for first HIM, I was well pleased. I tried to slow my legs down on the run on the first 3 miles, but I just kept getting stronger throughout the run part.”
Races on 10/30
Rock & Roll Los Angeles
Anson Lam ran this half marathon and raced to a 1:34:51 finish for a new PR.
