Races on 9/25
Escape 2 Miami
Juan Vergara finished his race in 2:30 and was excited about placing first in his age group, his first time doing so! He said “Thanks EN!!! I love this nation.”
Ironman® 70.3® Augusta
Casey Seabright earned a new PR for this half-ironman with a time of 5:42:23.
J-Hawks Late Bird Triathlon
Sue Chapman competed in this sprint tri and finished in 1:26:01 for a PR-worthy time. She said “Taking 6:33 off a sprint in 5 months (did the same one in April) – even in the pouring rain, muddy trail run, and hail – couldn’t have done it without the EN training mojo!”
Nathans Olympic
Betsy Kantor raced to a PR finish and said “Thanks Coaches RnP! I improved my bike 15 minutes and felt like I was holding back. Passed everybody on the second half of the run! And i got a place on the podium-3rd in age group (the wine bottle in the PIC says so!) Work works!”
Westchester Jardin Olympic
Linda Filar crossed the line in 2:46:14 and members can read her full race report here. She also said “I am limited to about 5 hours/week to train. The no swim until 3 weeks out + just the MS when I was really pressed for time was enough to get me in pretty good swim and bike shape. I had a stress fracture that hampered my running so I need to work on that. In short, fast over far works for prioritization if that’s all that life gives you right now. I hope to do a better job proving it next year;-)”
Scott Dinhofer also competed and PR’d with a time of 2:53. It was his first time at the Olympic distance and he said “Bad swim, rocked the bike (missed ENer John Withrow by 4 secs), good run!”
